Scientists find footprint of unknown ancient reptile in Spain

Barcelona: Scientists have found a fossilized impression from around 247 to 248 million years prior in the Pyrenees mountains in Spain which they accept was made by a formerly obscure types of reptile. 

The impression was found among a progression of tracks made by the precursors of crocodiles and dinosaurs, a gathering known as archosauromorphs, the analysts from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Catalan Institute of Paleontology said in an announcement. 

The researchers named the new types of reptile Prorotodactylus mesaxonichnus in an  distributed in logical diary Plos One. 

They trust the species resembled a crocodile yet with more extensive legs and was about a meter-and-a-half (five feet) long. 

The specialists said the impressions recommend the tracks which they found in the Pyrenees mountains in northeastern spain on the fringe with France were made by creatures that utilized each of the four appendages to walk and frequently likewise left checks with their tails.

The analysts trust the archosauromorphs commanded the stream beds of the antiquated Pyrenees. They said they are presently searching for fossilized bones of the creatures that made the tracks.
